Pillars of Connection
Compassion
Compassion is the only antidote to shame. When we are met with compassion, we instantly feel safe and seen. Shame closes our heart and causes us to escape our reality through substances, food, television, gaming, etc. However, healing is possible, thanks to compassion. Through compassion, we can release shame that resides in our bodies and come back to our true nature, which is love and peace itself.
We offer workshops and retreats to learn how to be compassionate while also being cared for and held by a compassionate community.
Creativity
Our true nature is not only peace and compassion, it is also creativity itself. When we peel back the layers of doubt and judgment, we open and unlock the truest and most pure sense of creativity. This can look like music, dance, art, or play. Everything is creative. We are creators at our very core.
We offer different creative events that are shame-free. We believe creativity can be messy and fun.
Community
Community is desperately needed during this time. We are witnessing trauma at an unprecedented rate. Even before COVID, people were isolating and feeling alone. Since COVID, it just has gotten worse. Many of us do not even know how to reconnect with one another.
At A Hero’s Journey, we offer community gatherings to connect not only with one another, but also the earth, the higher power that speaks to you and your own true divine nature.
Plant Medicine
When traditional talk therapy isn't enough, plant medicine offers a profound pathway to transformation — one that honors both the science of healing and the wisdom of expanded consciousness. In addition to healing relational and childhood wounds, plant medicine has the potential for moving past personal roadblocks, deepening meaningful relationships and unlocking profound creativity.
We offer preparation and integration circles as well as microdosing events that will help you build community of likeminded people who are on a similar journey as you.
Nature
What better teacher is there than Mother Earth? Does she not show us how she balances with light and darkness, birth and death, stillness and chaos? She teaches us to reciprocate and work together.
We offer different opportunities to go camping or backpacking in remote areas of California
Embodiment
We are all part of the earth and our bodies are connected to the earth’s wisdom. Indigenous cultures knew this and honored it. Patriarchy, white supremacy, capitalism, and colonialism was designed to pull us away from the wisdom we all innately have. It is time to return to who the fuck we really are.
We offer meditation classes, somatic movement classes, and music/dance circles to connect to who we truly are and return as part of the earth not takers of the earth.
We’re all just walking each other home.”
